SEBTA was an amazing experience and I feel extremely honoured and proud to be a part of it. It was lovely to meet all the competitors along with their lecturers the night before the competition. In the competition room on the day the atmosphere was so positive and everyone just wanted to do their best, all the competitors were supportive of each other. We were all overwhelmed by the number of important and inspiring individuals within the beauty industry who attended the event and the award ceremony. I feel that this award recognises my dedication and devotion to progressing within the beauty industry and my continuous drive to improving my skills.

The Carlton competition not only celebrates the best electrical student in the country but created a real buzz in the students at Chichester. I have already been approached by a student who is interested for next year. Both Michelle and I felt very spoilt. This was very unexpected and very welcome. It is not often that we get time as lecturers to celebrate the success of our students or our skills in enabling them to achieve high standards. The experience has given both my student and I renewed passion for our industry and the drive to continue with our high standards. Thank you again to all who were involved. Do you teach outstanding students? Are they looking for an opportunity to shine? If so, SEBTA needs them.

SEBTA is back seeking the best student electrotherapists in the UK. SEBTA is open to all Level 3 and above students. There is no age limit and the competition is not exclusive to colleges using Carlton Professional equipment. Only one student will have the kudos of being crowned SEBTA Student of the Year 2012 so don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity. The icing on the cake is the fabulous prizes for the winner, finalists, lecturers and colleges.

For example, 1st prize is:

£1000 cheque redeemable against Carlton Professional products for the winning college.
£500 cash and a Carlton Professional UltraDerm machine for the winning student.
£250 cash for the supporting lecturer

Both student finalists and accompanying lecturers will be treated to dinner and overnight accommodation* in Brighton** on Wednesday 27thJune, courtesy of Carlton Professional. The final will be held on Thursday 28th June with a luncheon and the presentation of the prizes in the afternoon.

If you would like your students to participate, simply fill out the SEBTA 2012 initial entry form and send it back to Carlton Professional by Friday 25th November 2011.

Once you have expressed your interest in the competition, we will send out your entry form pack with details of how to apply. (NB Students should only enter the competition if they will be available for the final, which will be held on Thursday 28th June in Brighton.)
